If once he looks at this world, he will reshape it.
Allama Hilli, the scholar of scholars,
whose one session reshaped this country,
Went to Karbala. He was alone on this journey.
He was on horse-back. On the way, he saw:
a person travelling by foot, next to him.
Allama (Hilli) was always in the mode of thinking,
What to say about his thought! What to say about his writing and teaching!

Allama Hilli, the scholar of scholars,
whose one session reshaped this country,

Allama (Hilli) was always in the mode of thinking,
What to say about his thought! What to say about his writing and teaching!
When he saw this man next to him,
out of the demands of good company, he started conversing with him.
As he started talking,
Allama realized that this is no ordinary man.
He asked him a question.
(The man) answered.
He asked him a second question. Like the previous one he answered this as well.
Problems that Allama himself was unable to solve.
The man answered one by one and untied the knots (for Allama).
Allama was astonished.
His whip fell from his hand.
He said, "I have one more question."
The question is as follows:
Is it possible for a person in this era to see the Imam of his time?
Like my other questions answer this one as well.
He bent. Picked up the whip and handed it over to Allama.
He said: How will he not see him when he takes the whip from his hand.
If you do work (for the sake of Allah) this is how you will be bestowed with favour by the Imam of your time.
O Allah, be, for Your representative, the Hujjat (Proof), Son of Al-Hasan –
Your blessings be on him and his forefathers,
in this hour and in every hour –
a Guardian, a Protector, a Leader, a Helper, a Proof
Until You make him live on earth, in obedience (to You)
and cause him to live in it for a long time.
O Allah! Never separate us from the Imam of our time.
