During these days we have three very important responsibilities to uphold:
One responsibility is to ourselves,

During these days we have three very important responsibilities to uphold:
One responsibility is to ourselves,
One is towards society
One towards that individual for whom this day belongs
Each of these responsibilities will result in a detailed discussion. However, we can mention the following points in brief:
An opportunity has come to you
That will pass by you with the speed of lightning
Leaving behind great regret for each of us
And this opportunity is that
All of you are in complete control of the guidance of your own souls
It is very easy to say these words
But to reach the essence of this control is very difficult
The warning of the verse of Nafar shows the importance of the matter
}فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ{.
What is this expedition for?
}لِيَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي الدِّينِ{. (To understand and meditate on religion)
The explanation of this verse itself is not possible here
متعلق هیئت یک ماده هست( the connection of form is that with matter)
و آن ماده مضاف است.(And this matter is attributed to another)
The experts must reflect on the complexity and difficulty of the above two concepts
The command is related to ، تفقــّه
This word has a form and a root
It is important to understand both
What is the form?
From the different forms that exist this one belongs to the form of تفعـّل
The root that has been molded into this form is FIQH(فقه)
فقه امر ذات تعلق است. (Fiqh has a direct connection with the essence)
The literal meaning of FIQH(فقه) according to the Quran is to understand something deeply.
What is the understanding that this refers to? It refers to (DEEN) religion
What is this (DEEN) religion? This is the same religion that:
}إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الْإِسْلَامُ{(Certainly, the religion acceptable to God is only Islam)
This is the same religion that Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s.) with all his greatness, at the time of the construction of Kaaba longed for
}رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ
وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَكَ{،
Now your duty is to understand this religion
But this cannot be done so easily
Alas the life has passed, we did not understand it at the time that we had the strength to follow it
And when we finally understood that we had the strength, it was no longer there
Blessed are those who understand this strength at the right time
The way to achieve this goal is not only these courses and discussions
Another necessary element must be added to this discussion. What is that element?
If you practice this program from today
You will be witness to a soul’s revolution within yourself
Understand this tradition well. The tradition is
"اشراف امّتی ...".(The elite of my Ummah…..)
hAgain this tradition needs to be explained
First, what kind of Ummah is his Ummah?
}وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا
لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ{.
This is the value of his Ummah
The one witnessing factor on all human beings is his Ummah
Now we must look at who are the elite of this Ummah
The elite that the last of the prophets (s.a.w.s.) pins the badge of honor on are
"اشراف امّتی حملة القرآن واصحاب اللیل
They can be summarized in these two words
The honor which the noblest of the world considers as an honor
Is summarized in these two words
"حملة القرآن واصحاب اللیل".
Start from today
There should not pass a day, without exception, but with this act
And there should not pass a night but with this act
But during the dayحملة القرآن".
}فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ(then read as much of the Quran as is feasible for you)
But the path should be traversed in a way that we reach the destination quickly
All the minute and subtle details to reach the perfection are explained in various traditions
They must be collected together
He said this sentence here
He has said at another place how to become the bearer of the Quran
Read the Quran and gift it to the master of our age, the guardian of our age
Remove it from yourself and attach it to him
What will it do then? This is a high - leveled discussion
The severance of action from one’s soul and
And its connection with the source of effusion of being
Acquires the quality of an alchemist that transforms metal
This Quran changes the soul, it is the first word
Now the second word"اصحاب اللیل".(companions of the night)
In any condition wake up in the middle of the night
Ponder thoroughly on what I am saying
What is the highest spiritual position that one can achieve?
This is the position God has chosen for the first created being of the universe
A position higher than this is not possible to determine neither through intellect (‘Aql) nor thru the respected narrations (‘Naql)
God has granted such a position to such a man but with only one quality
Said وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَكَ
عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا
From here we must understand how our life has been lived
We have not traversed the path and have not reached this honor
"اشراف امّتی حملة القرآن واصحاب اللیل"
If we acquire these two qualities, our soul will get connected to the source of that one light
And we will be helped from there
Then humanity will understand the effect of the education and upbringing of this religion
This prescription is practical. It is not limited to words alone
This is the thing which we must practice ourselves
But the responsibility towards people, so the opportunity must not be wasted away
We must attempt this in these ten days (of Ashura) which act as a source of spring for our hearts
These two things must be given its proper importance and must be achieved at any cost
Nothing is dearer to God than these two
First to bring back onto the path those who have been misguided and deviated from Allah
To bring back this fleeing servant to his master again
And second, the one who has lost a connection with the Imam of his time
Introduce him to the Imam of his time
Dedicate your gatherings exclusively for these two
The importance of these two is to this extent too
Do not play with this fortune and do not lose it
First apply the Quran (reading Quran) and night prayer (waking up in night) practically
Then take the responsibility of guiding people
Then the effect will be this
If you cause a sinner to repent
If you introduce an ignorant to the Imam of his time
The reward will be equivalent to that of hundred days of fasting
And spend all the nights till dawn praying
Gain the most from this opportunity and do not let it slip away
Now the third topic
What is our responsibility towards the Master of our time?
We have not even begun to understand the significance of the blood that was shed
We have not even begun to understand who was killed
Sheikh Tousi, Sheikh Sadooq, Ibne Qaulve have narrated this tradition
Discussing a part of it will suffice for the scope of our talk
Because where he is himself no one knows
The extent to which we can say is this
Well, we can read from here onwards
This is an exact and decisive text of the authentic (sahih) tradition
مثل شیخ انصاری در موارد احتیاطِ در نفوس بر طبق سندِ این حدیث فتوا می دهد.
The subject matter of this tradition is
"اشهد..."
This word means to testify to God using the tongue whose infallibility is guaranteed
"اشهد انّ دمک سکن فی الخلد"، I testify that your blood is in the heavens
Who can understand who Husain Ibne Ali is?
Where is heaven?
In that highest assembly which is the centre of the People of God in the universe
His blood is an ornament of that assembly
The one whose body is there, can one imagine where his soul must be?
Who can understand who was killed?
How was he killed? And what was he killed for?
Husain bin Svyr said to the Sixth Imam
Oh Husain! The one who goes for his ziyarat...’
From here the matter must be understood
We do not have the capability to recognize him ourselves
We must look and see
What is the extent of the last stage upon which the rays of his existence have shone
And then discover what the sun is and where it is
This is when the rays strike his grave’s zari
Imam said “If you go there on foot
For each step a virtue is written for you
One sin will be erased
If you go riding
Everywhere your horse’s hoof rests
For every step one virtue is written and one sin is erased”
These words have immense and powerful meaning behind them
That is, they purify you.
It detaches you so that you develop a certain amount of inner capacity
What is amazing is that he said:
“When you reach the door of the shrine, God will place you among the Mufleheen (those who have succeeded)”
I am still amazed. What is this?
When you reach his holy shrine you will be among the Mufleheen
What does it mean to be among the Mufleheen?
Refer to the Holy Quran and see, what are the conditions for reaching that state of Iflah (success)?
Then you will understand what this station is
Read Surah Mominoon
}قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ{
But who are these?
}الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ{.
This quality should reach to a point that
}وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ{.
When they reach this point they succeed
This status is so great that
}ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ
هُدًى لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ،
الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ
وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ
وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ ،
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ
وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ
وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ ،
أُولَئِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ
وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ{.
Consider all this and then with just one ziyarat to his grave, on reaching the doorstep of his shrine, one becomes successful!
What is this alchemy which transforms in this way?
That transforms iron into red gold, which has walked to his grave
It is important to ponder on these deep realities
He said: “When you are done with the ritual and the ceremonies….”
There is the pilgrimage to the house
The difference is that that pilgrimage is the pilgrimage to God’s house.
And here the pilgrimage is to God Himself
Hajj (pilgrimage) is to intend
The object of intention there is the Kaaba
But the object in this ziyarat is God Himself
Because an authentic tradition clearly states:
"من زار الحسین کان کمن زار الله فی عرشه".(One who visits Husain is like the one who visits Allah at His Throne)
When you complete this pilgrimage to God what will happen then?
The thing which astonishes the intellect is that he has said
“When you complete the rituals and ceremonies
God will inscribe your name among the Faizeen (those who have succeeded with a distinction)
From the status of Mufleheen at the door of his shrine we turn into Faizeen at his grave
What is this status of the Faizeen?
We should see the text of God’s communication to understand this tradition
}الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا...{.
Now we must look at the subtle details and conditions to reach this
}الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا(this is the second word)
}وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ
أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِنْدَ اللَّهِ
وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ{.
The position of the Faizoon is this
}يُبَشِّرُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَرِضْوَانٍ
وَجَنَّاتٍ لَهُمْ فِيهَا نَعِيمٌ مُقِيمٌ
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ{.
This position which is the peak of perfection of human success
Is available near the head of the grave of Husain Ibne Ali
The one who is so transformed by Husain Ibne Ali’s Ziayarat
On the Day of Judgment when his mother
That too with her broken ribs, with her swollen arms
Throws this shirt which is still blood-soaked upon her head
What will happen? And what will she do?
This is why this whole country should become united this year “YA HUSSAIN”
From top to bottom this whole country should be wailing, mourning in grievance for the one like …..
The whole world is agitated in mourning
But this event is an event that we have clearly proven using authentic traditions
That all the creatures have shed tears for this event
"بکت السماوات السبع".(Seven heavens cried for it)
"بکت علیه السماوات السبع والارضون السبع،
وما فیهنّ و ما بینهنّ،
وما یُری وما لا یُری".
People must wake up
Ibn Hajr Hytmy has asserted it
And all the Ahle Sunnat narrators (the people of tradition and those who are experts in it) have recorded that:
When his head was raised atop the spear
Everywhere on this Earth, wherever they picked up a stone, blood gushed out of it
What is the responsibility of people in these days of Ashura?
Oh the shias of Ali Ibne Abu Talib do not pay any heed to this fruitless heresy
If you allow yourself to be distanced from him
A great loss in this world and in the hereafter will follow
This religion, this affirmation of God’s Unity, this Quran all are alive due to his blood alone
He is the one who with this movement, with this action, has done something
That has ensured that the religion will be preserved until the Day of Judgment
"وأوضح بك الكتاب...
وأوضح بك الكتاب". It is he who has lifted the veil from the face of the Quran
It is he who has given life to faith and religion
Why is it that 124,000 Prophets revolve around his grave like fire-flies?
Because had there been no Ashura
All that had been brought by the Prophets and the Messengers would have been lost
اللهم صلّ وسلـّم علیه، صلاة دائمة،
اللهم صلّ علی الحسین وعلی علیّ بن الحسین
وعلی اولاد الحسین وعلی اصحاب الحسین.
