Question 26 - Is it necessary to wash the pierced ear holes during ghusl?
Answer: The pierced ear hole must be washed if it is large enough for the internal part to become visible. If the hole is not that large it does not have to be washed. If there is confusion about it being large enough to be considered an exposed part, obligatory precaution requires it to be washed.({^The external body parts must be washed during a ghusl. For example, the internal parts like the mouth and nose do not need washing. However, if a person is not sure whether a part of her body would be considered external or not, obligatory precaution must be observed and it must be washed.^})
